More fallout for Russell Brand
Since the explosive media investigation into accusations that comedian/podcaster Russell Brand assaulted 4 women (which he denies) was published over the weekend, The Times says it’s received more allegations but is yet to verify them. And one woman has described Brand’s alleged attack on her… She says he sent her a message afterwards, saying: “I’m sorry. That was crazy and selfish. I hope you can forgive me”. The woman (who is staying anonymous) sought medical help, and investigators have verified her medical documents. There’s also been a lot of resurfacing of Brand’s past behaviour, including kissing Aussie journalist Liz Hayes on-air and a 2006 interview where Dannii Minogue called Brand “completely crazy and a bit of a vile predator”. Jumping to Brand’s defence is conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who says Brand’s been targeted because he has a successful alternative media profile. Meanwhile, the remainder of Brand’s UK tour has been postponed as UK police open an investigation.
