South Australia’s voice, trying to understand it…

Uluru_Statement

The state isn’t waiting for the federal government to sort it out… South Australia is set to begin talks on a state version of the First Nations Voice to Parliament with plans to launch it next year. South Australian Attorney-General Kyam Maher – the state’s first Aboriginal AG/Aboriginal Affairs Minister – says it’s a concept he believes has the community’s backing. Like PM Anthony Albanese did in his victory speech on 21 May, South Australia’s newish Premier Peter Malinauskas mentioned the Voice to Parliament in his election victory speech. #SquizShortcuts
