Squiz Picks for Mother’s Day

You need a Mother’s Day gift that’s easy to buy – and one that she’ll like receiving (unlike your Year 2 macaroni necklace)… So we’ve put together some things we like. And if you purchase anything from these sites after clicking on the link, The Squiz might get a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ from it too.

$20
A good quality hand sanitiser for her bag. Because it’s going to be a part of our lives for a while longer.

A superbalm that’s great to have on hand for when dry skin/lips/cuticles attack.

British cuisine doesn’t get the best wrap. But Nigella Lawson, Gordon Ramsay, Rick Stein, Yotam Ottolenghi and Jamie Oliver share some of our favourite recipes in this bargain of a cookbook

$50

By the time you’ve got your pods/headphones, phone, sunnies, and keys, you need a little bag to put in your handbag/backpack so you can get to the essentials quickly.

A crystal face roller. Some people say the amethyst calms the mind. We say it helps deal with a puffy eye situation when the previous night’s been a bit raucous or the week has been long. Just put some thought into how you’re going to break it that she has the occasional puffy eye before you hand it over…

Don’t know why, but this is the only hand cream that doesn’t leave us with a greasy palm. And no one likes a greasy palm…

A bit more

Hydration to the max, great for the winter months.

These shoes are good for anyone that puts a premium on comfort and classic style. We have a couple of pairs of these in leather and have barely taken them off, even in lockdown.

Martha Stewart – even Snoop Dog is enamoured with her… And any chance we get, a hard copy of the Martha Stewart Living magazine is a treat. Some parts alien (as in: that is sooo never going to be our lives…), some parts practical (yes, Martha, we do need 10 recipes with mince…), it’s a joy. A 12-month subscription to this rollercoaster every month would be amazeballs.
