The Chelsea Garden Show is in full bloom in London – and a winner has been declared in the competition for best garden. Horatio’s Garden – an accessible sanctuary to help people with spinal injuries heal – has taken out first place with its restorative, light, and airy planting designed to be the opposite of a hospital ward. It’s one of several gardens located at spinal injury centres across the UK – and the one at Chelsea will be relocated to the spinal injuries centre in Sheffield. Designers Charlotte Harris and Hugo Bugg said it was “unbelievable” to win the prestigious prize. “It’s a really special garden for us because of the nature of the charity,” they said. For a stroll through the entries, a gallery is here.
