Cuomo’s New York minute
It’s been building for months, and overnight the findings of an independent investigation into allegations New York Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women was released. The findings in a word: damning. The state’s Attorney General Letitia James said Cuomo violated state and federal laws when he subjected several women to unwanted kissing and groping. Some of those women were staff members who said their careers suffered when they complained. Cuomo, a leading figure in the Democratic Party, has been told to resign by senior party officials, but he says he did nothing wrong and plans on contesting next year’s election. That might be difficult if police take the report’s findings and pursue charges against him.
