Men choose a bad date over moisturising

It’s fair to say the average bloke doesn’t have much of a skincare routine except for a bar of soap and water… That’s backed by a new survey of 2,000 Gen Z and millennial men aged 18-42yo conducted by skincare brand CeraVe. It found 73% reckon they need an intervention for their poor self-care habits, with 33% admitting they don’t have a routine to care for their skin. Many can’t bear the thought of using their valuable bathroom time (aka phone-scrolling time…) on skincare, with 50% saying they’d rather go on a bad date, attend a doctor’s appointment (49%), clean out their inbox (45%) or do their laundry by hand for a month (41%). And for those with a regimen, it’s largely thanks to their partner’s influence, with 75% of guys in relationships reporting using their significant others’ products. They might want to take a leaf out of Patrick Bateman’s book
