Mums and their girls…

For some parents, having a child who isn’t the gender you envisioned can be disappointing – especially when you already have 2 of the same. Researchers from the London School of Economics surveyed 34,000 people born between 1958-1970 at least once a decade, tracking their wellbeing and kid situation. They found those with 2 tin lids of the same gender were more likely to try for a third and would try more quickly than couples with one child of each gender. And the kicker: mothers with 2 daughters were more likely to report a fall in their wellbeing if they had a third girl. That slump lasts at least a decade – just in time for the teenage years…
