Days after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared monkeypox to be a global health emergency, Chief Medical Officer Paul Kelly yesterday said the virus is of ‘national significance’. There have been 44 cases reported across Oz – mostly travellers who brought it back from overseas. He’s urged at-risk men to make “safe choices”, including cooling their jets on the social scene while the virus is circulating.
