AI lawyer gets it wrong, a superhuman shot put, and a bear that loves cupcakes

Stories about how companies are using artificial intelligence have been rolling in thick and fast this year… And some of the resulting legal issues might have started to trickle in too. First up: an NYC lawyer in hot water after ChatGPT sent him down the wrong track in a case. It’s hard to get good advice these days… 

Q: What do you do when you’ve already broken a world record? A: Break it again. At least, that’s what the 2-time US Olympic champion shot putter Ryan Crouser did on Saturday, throwing 23.56 metres to beat his previous record of 23.37 metres. According to the experts, 23.5m has always been the superhuman mark. 

And if all that talk of physical exertion has you feeling desperately hungry, you might understand the actions of a Connecticut black bear that terrified employees when it broke into a bakery and ate 60 cupcakes. It’s always tricky to stop at one…
