Suits you…

This Squiz caper means the fanciest bit of kit we’ve bought in the last 5 years was a pair of trackie daks that had an elastic waistband and a button fly. So welcome to the dressed-down gang, world… That includes iconic British retailer Marks & Spencer, which has reduced its formerly (and formally…) reliable range of men’s suits. Fewer than half of its 254 stores now stock the items, and in place of the matching slacks/jacket combos are the new work uniform – pants with elastic/tie waists, chinos and t-shirts. The retailer says it shifted a lot of its pre-pandemic workwear for men and women online. Fashion forecasters say the casual look is here to stay, even when workers head back to the office.
