That’s how tomorrow’s Suncorp Super Netball grand final has panned out. To be more specific, the GWS Giants will play the NSW Swifts, with the bookies tipping the Giants as favourites. It’s been another chaotic season with COVID making teams chase border closures around the country faster than a zippy Centre… Giants goal-keeper and proud New South Welshwoman Sam Poolman summed it up: “It’s been a really tough season and to have an all-NSW grand final after what our state’s been through is incredible”. Coverage starts at 2.30pm on Nine, but make sure you seize the remote before any AFL fans in your home get their mitts on it. That’s because the grand finalists’ ‘brother teams’ – the GWS Giants and the Sydney Swans – play in their elimination final at the same time. That’s “disappointing,” Netball Australia boss Kelly Ryan said.
