A man has been arrested in connection with the leaking of classified US intelligence documents. They’re the ones that have caused problems for American officials over the last week because they cover the nation’s allies, enemies and the state of the war in Ukraine. Reports say 21yo Jack Teixeira has been detained – he’s a member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard and is the leader of the private online group Thug Shaker Central where the classified documents were initially posted. Teixeira’s been a member of that national guard – it’s an operational reserve of the United States Air Force, and reports say it’s not immediately clear how he could have had access to such highly sensitive briefings. US authorities have made big efforts this week to track down the source of the leaks, and the criminal investigation into Teixeira is being led by the FBI.
