Abdominal surgery will see the Princess of Wales remain in hospital for up to 2 weeks. Kensington Palace hasn’t shared much detail other than to say her issue is not cancer-related and that the procedure was planned. She’ll be out of action until after Easter, which is in late March this year. “She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private,” the palace said. Also heading into the repair shop is King Charles… An enlarged prostate will see him admitted next week for “corrective treatment”. His condition is also not cancer-related, but it can make it hard to wee. The King’s condition is “in common with thousands of men each year,” Buckingham Palace said, and the hope is the disclosure will prompt the many thousands of men in the UK with similar symptoms to seek treatment.
