COP27, the United Nations’ big climate summit for 2022, finished up yesterday in Egypt in extra time after reaching an agreement on paying for climate change damages. But… there is no guidance on how much money the compensation fund needs, who contributes, and who benefits. As for the final world leaders’ summit, there was yet another discussion of Russia’s war on Ukraine and China’s strategic ambitions at Thailand’s Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting.
