Who’s the richest of them all?

Australian money

That would be mining magnate Gina Rinehart for a 4th year in a row, according to the Financial Review’s annual Rich List. As resource prices continue to soar, Rinehart’s net worth climbed $3 billion over the year to $37.4 billion. It was a similar story for fellow resources giant Andrew ‘Twiggy’ Forrest ($33.3 billion), who maintained his runner-up spot, and Clive Palmer ($23.7 billion), who hopped from 7th to 5th. In 3rd place is cardboard king Anthony Pratt and his family ($24 billion), followed by property developer Harry Triguboff ($23.8 billion). Rounding out the top 10 are Atlassian co-founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, whose collective wealth dropped by $20 billion as tech shares plunged, followed by Glencore boss Ivan Glasenberg ($13.6 billion), Canva co-founders Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht ($13.2 billion), and Rich List mainstay Frank Lowy ($9.3 billion). The complete list of those you should hit up to shout the bar next time you’re out together is here (paywall).
